Hello ladies!
I just got back from an SF convention in Toronto this weekend and one of the special guests was Armin Shimerman.
Now obviously most of the question he was asked were about DS9 and his role as the principal on Buffy but BATB did come up a couple times and Armin had some very nice things to say about Ron, that I thought you gals might like to hear:
If you could work with any living actor and any dead actor, which two would you choose?
Armin Shimerman: Well for living actors, I would definitely love to work with Ron Perlman again. And for dead I would love to work with Shakespeare.
He went on to mention that when he landed the role of Quark on Deep Space Nine, the first person he called was Ron, in order to ask him for tips on dealing with the make-up day-in and day-out. He said Ron's reply was (and here he did a very decent impression of Ron) "Armin - think of the money"
So if you were offered a role in Hellboy III or Sons of Anarachy you'd take it?
In a Toronto minute
I ended up going to both Q&A sessions and I have to say Armin Shimerman was an absolutely charming guest - very articulate, generous, and just an all around lovely gentleman. He treated us to THREE spontaneous performances - two Shakespeare soliloquies and a 6 minute monologue from the play he's currently in. Justa great guest.
